T. Girard Lee Jr.

                                                T. Girard "Jerry" Lee Jr., 71, of
                                             Sherwood Forest, died July 21 of
                                             pneumonia.

                                               He was born on Nov. 3, 1938, in               
                                              Washing ton D.C., to the late Thomas
                                             Girard Lee and Dorothy Thomas Lee. He
                                             was a 1956 graduate of
Wilson High
School,
and then went on to graduate from Miami University of Ohio in
1961 with a degree in architecture. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon
Fraternity.

After attending Coast Guard Officer Candidate School, Jerry was
commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Coast Guard Reserves in
1962 and served as an architect in San Francisco with the 12th Coast Guard
District.

He was registered as an architect from 1966 until his retirement from
Lee-Warner Architects in 2000. Jerry designed residences, buildings and
churches throughout California, Washington D.C., and the Atlantic Coast
areas. His last project was the planning and completion of his church, Riva
Trace Baptist Church.

He and his wife, Paula, and their family sponsored sixteen midshipmen
through the years after moving to Sherwood Forest in 1981. A member of
the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rotary Club, he served as president. After
moving to Annapolis, he became a member of the Annapolis Rotary Club.
He also served as a board member and later as president of the Bethesda
Chevy Chase YMCA.

He was a member of The Society of The Lees of Virginia, member of the
Sherwood Forest Club, member of Riva Trace Baptist Church, member of
the Annapolis Council of the Navy League, devoted Red Cross donor, avid
sailor, and golfer.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paula Stephan Lee; his son and
daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Karen Lee; daughter, Jennifer and her
husband, Bob Dowd; daughter, Becky and her husband, Chris Clark;
daughter, Nancy; and eight grandchildren.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 26 at
Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 West Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD
21035. A luncheon will follow the ceremony.

the Sherwood Forest Endowment Fund, Sherwood Forest Cultural Fund, or
