| Robert Ginsburg, 73, a grants administrator with the National Institutes of Health, died Dec. 14 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Md., from kidney disease and diabetes complications. He lived in Mount Airy. |

| Mr. Ginsburg was born in Philadelphia and moved to Washington when he was 9. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson Senior High School. |
|
| He served in the Marine Corps from 1950 to 1954, reaching the rank of sergeant, and received the Purple Heart after being wounded in Korea. |
|
|
| After graduating from American University in 1957, Mr. Ginsburg joined NIH. At his retirement in 1988, he was grants management officer for the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. |
|
|
| He lived in Rockville before moving to Mount Airy in 2001. |
|
|
| His marriage to Betty Ginsburg ended in divorce. |
|
|
| Survivors include his wife, Margaret Peggy Ginsburg of Mount Airy; three children from his first marriage, Franklin Ginsburg of Germantown, James Ginsburg of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., and Trine Pernie of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; a stepson, Scott Bochniak of Silver Spring; a sister; and eight grandchildren. |
