Robert E. Lynch Jr., 74, who had a legal practice in Bethesda specializing in estates and trusts, died May 18 at Casey
House hospice in Rockville. He had pulmonary fibrosis.
Robert Emmett Lynch Jr. was born in Washington and lived most of his adult life in Chevy Chase. He was a graduate of
Wilson High School, the University of Maryland and, in 1962, of George Washington University Law School. He served
in the Army in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
He maintained his law practice until his death. In addition to professional organizations, Mr. Lynch was a member of the
Catholic Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Washington, the University Club and Columbia Country Club in Chevy
Chase.
He enjoyed the study of history.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Ann Marie McSweeney Lynch of Chevy Chase, and three sisters.
