| Jane Clark Claybrook, 82, a secretary at two Northern Virginia private schools, died of congestive heart failure Aug. 12 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She lived in Springfield. |

| Mrs. Claybrook worked at St. Stephen's School in Alexandria from 1972 to 1990, then moved to Flint Hill School in Oakton, where she worked until 1994. A native Washingtonian, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, and from Cornell University in 1948. In the mid-1950s, she lived in Tripoli, Libya, while her husband was in the Air Force. |

| Her hobbies included knitting and spending time at Rehoboth Beach, Del. She was a member of Annandale United Methodist Church, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. |
|
| Her husband, Allan Claybrook, died in 1998. |
|
| Survivors include four children, Carol Colobro of Bristol, Tenn., Bob Claybrook of Vienna, Bruce Claybrook of Vienna and Laura Bacon of Fairfax City; a brother; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. |
