Jane Clark Claybrook, 82, a secretary at two Northern Virginia private schools, died of congestive heart failure Aug. 12 at Inova
Fairfax Hospital. She lived in Springfield.
Mrs. Claybrook worked at St. Stephen's School in Alexandria from 1972 to 1990, then moved to Flint Hill School in Oakton, where
she worked until 1994. A native Washingtonian, she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, and from Cornell University
in 1948. In the mid-1950s, she lived in Tripoli, Libya, while her husband was in the Air Force.
Her hobbies included knitting and spending time at Rehoboth Beach, Del. She was a member of Annandale United Methodist
Church, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Her husband, Allan Claybrook, died in 1998.
Survivors include four children, Carol Colobro of Bristol, Tenn., Bob Claybrook of Vienna, Bruce Claybrook of Vienna and Laura
Bacon of Fairfax City; a brother; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
