Elizabeth St. Clair Piggot

Elizabeth St. Claire Piggot, 66, a Washington native and volunteer for several organizations, died Dec. 3 of cancer at her home in
Washington.
Mrs. Piggot grew up in the District and was a graduate of  Woodrow Wilson High School. She graduated from Dickinson
College in Carlisle, Pa., where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
She was a volunteer gardener at Hillwood Museum Gardens and volunteered with the D.C. Society for Crippled Children and
Washington National Cathedral.
Her interests included music, opera, golf, bowling, gardening and reading. She had season tickets to the opera in New York and
Washington and was a past president of the Montgomery-Prince George's Counties Women's Golf Association.
Her first husband, Jon Kent Ruth, died in 1962.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Deboorne Buzz Piggot of Washington; a daughter from her first marriage, Anne Ruth
Kiehl of Bethesda; two sons from her second marriage, Robert Piggot of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and James Piggot of Los
Angeles; and her parents, Darrell M. St. Claire and Margaret McReynolds St. Claire, both of Washington.
