Casper Erwin "Bocky" Heindl, 77, a Potomac resident who had owned and operated Heindl Printing Co. since 1953, died Oct.
10 at Suburban Hospital. He had lung cancer.
Mr. Heindl's company was in Washington until it moved to Bethesda in the mid-1990s. The business, which is now closing,
specialized in birth announcements, wedding invitations and Christmas cards.
He was a native Washingtonian and a 1948 graduate of Wilson High School. Early on, he worked at the Pentagon's printing
department and Grove Printing in Washington.
His hobbies included model railroading, and he was a member of the Train Collectors Association.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy Barker Heindl of Potomac; two children, Walter Heindl of Swarthmore, Pa., and
Joanne Heindl of Auckland, New Zealand; a sister; and three grandchildren.
