Thomas T. Chambers

Thomas Tyler Chambers, 88, a former salesman at Frank Parsons Paper Co. Inc. who became board chairman and chief
executive, died May 14 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He had Alzheimer's disease.
Mr. Chambers, a McLean resident, joined the company in the late 1940s. After several years as president, he became board
chairman and chief executive   in 1980 and retired in the early 1990s.
He was a native Washingtonian and attended  Western High School. He served in the Army in Italy during World War II, and his
decorations included the Purple Heart.
His wife of 56 years, Dorothy Edwards Chambers, died in 1998. Two sons also died, Donald A. Chambers in 1998 and Glenn
W. Chambers in 2000.
Survivors include a son, Thomas T. Chambers Jr. of Falls Church; a twin brother, Walter B. Chambers of Silver Spring; and a
granddaughter.
