Judith Kronheim Stahl, 84, a Washington native and hospital volunteer, died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease March 18 at a
hospice in Aventura, Fla. She lived in Hallandale Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Stahl was born in Washington, graduated from the old Western High School and attended George Washington University.
During World War II, she worked for the War Department, writing slogans to urge Americans to buy war bonds.
After her marriage in 1944, she moved to Massachusetts. She had lived in Florida since 1964.
She volunteered at hospitals in Massachusetts and Florida, working with adults with multiple sclerosis. She enjoyed bridge and golf and
had been a member of Washington Hebrew Congregation.
Her marriages to Samuel Stahl and Herb Diamond ended in divorce.
Survivors include three children from her first marriage, Patty Stahl of Dallas, Jack Stahl of New York City and Jim Stahl of Providence, R.I.;
and six grandchildren.
