     Jeanne Shepard, of O’Fallon, IL, born June
28, 1932 in East St. Louis, IL died Saturday,
September 3, 2011 at Anderson Hospital in
Maryville, IL.

     Jeanne was a Bookmobile Librarian for the
St. Louis Public Libraries, taught French at
O’Fallon Township High School, Graduated
Western High School, in Washington, D.C.,
earned her B.A. and a M.A from the University
of Missouri, Columbia. She was a member of
St. George’s Episcopal Church in Belleville, Member and Past Matron,
Grand Lecturer Emeritus Order of the Easter Star Chapter #487 of O’
Fallon, Past Bethel Guardian of O’Fallon Bethel #67 of IL Job’s Daughters,
Omicron Chapter Alpha Phi sorority Past President & 50 year member, Phi
Sigma Lota (Romance Language Honor Society) and was a 4 Star Member
of the Mariner Society, with Holland America Cruise Lines.

     Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Foster
(nee McKittrick).

     She is survived by her 2 daughters, Diane & Kenneth Rolland of St.
Charles, MO, Linda & Michael Burns of Edwardsville, IL. 2 granddaughters
Crystal Reiff of St. Louis, MO, Taylor Burns of Edwardsville, IL., Also
survived by the father of her children Coert Shepard of Edwardsville, IL.
Memorials in honor of Jeanne may be made to the St. Labre Indian School

     Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm
at the Schildknecht Funeral Home 301 S. Lincoln Ave. O’Fallon, IL. The
Eastern Star will conduct their service at 6:30 PM.

     Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 10:00
am at the funeral home with the Fr. Dale Coleman Jr. officiating.
Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
