

INGRID SCHLECHT WALKER, 65, died March 5, 2010 at her home in
Bethesda, MD.
A native Washingtonian, Ingrid worked in social services and taught
English.
She was a generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Ingrid was passionate about social justice, travel and the arts.
She was married to fellow DC native Bob Walker for nearly 40 years
until his death in 2006. They met at Western High School and went on
together to Bard College, the University of Connecticut, and a life in
New England.
Ingrid is survived by her son, Christopher, granddaughter Lucy and
daughter-in-law Natalie.
A service of remembrance will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
