     GEORGE W. ROE Of Temple Hills, MD, on Saturday, December 11,
2010, at Southern Maryland Hospital. A graduate of
Western High School
and DC Teachers College, he also received an M.A. in Adult Education from
the old Federal City College. A federal employee for 37 years, he worked for
the National Security Agency, the Federal Protective Service, and the
Smithsonian Institution.

     He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janith M. Roe; a daughter,
Tanya, and son, Erich, all of Temple Hills, MD; a brother, Dr. Donald Roe,
and his wife, Tangela, of Fort Washington, MD; a sister, Glenda "Tracee"
Roe of New York City, and numerous relatives in Oklahoma and Texas.
     
     The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
on Saturday, December 18 at Lee Funeral Home, 6633 Old Alexandria Ferry
Rd., Clinton, MD, to celebrate the life of the self-proclaimed "Oklahoma
Kid."

     The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form
of donations in his name to the United Negro College Fund.
