Delphine B. Warfield

Delphine B. Warfield, 67, a homemaker and former employee of the Montgomery County Police Department, died of
complications from brain cancer May 2 at Asbury Methodist Village. She lived in Gaithersburg.
Mrs. Warfield was born in Somerset, Va., and moved to Washington at the age of 12. She graduated from  Western High School
and began working as a nurse's aide at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital. She married in 1959 and became a homemaker.
During the 1970s, she worked for the Montgomery police and Jack's Roofing Co.
She enjoyed traveling and loved animals.
Her marriage to Dennis Moore ended in divorce.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, John Warfield of Gaithersburg; two children from her first marriage, Eric Moore of
Mount Airy and Michelle Simonds of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Gracanna Lynn DeLeon of Fort Myers, Fla.; and four
grandchildren.
