Charles Henry Meyer, 79, a retired building supply salesman, died of complications of emphysema March 18 at his home in
South Riding.
Mr. Meyer was a native Washingtonian and a graduate of Western High School. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University in Blacksburg for two years.
He worked as a salesman for Sheets Wholesale in Vienna for about 15 years and then spent 10 years at Atlantic Building
Supply in Manassas until his retirement in 1988.
He was a past secretary of the Vienna Ayr Hill Lions Club and a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Chantilly.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jean Coffman Meyer of South Riding; two daughters, Robyn Meyer Dupont of Centreville
and Cindy Meyer Lee of Frankfurt, Germany; and two grandsons.
