On Saturday, January 7, 2012, after a brief illness, Edward D. Shumaker of
Millington, MD, formerly of Temple Hills, MD, passed away.
Son of the late E. Whitfield Shumaker, Jr. and Dorothy Thorne Brooks. Devoted
husband of 50 years to Barbara A. Shumaker (Keys). Survivors include one son
Edward D. Shumaker, Jr., two brothers C. "Buzzy" Brooks and George (Steve)
Brooks; three sisters, Patsy Jones, Robin Arnold, and Jeanette Cole; one devoted
sister-in-law, Faye Brooks. Preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Brooks. Also
survived by 10 nieces and seven nephews.
Funeral service will be private, arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of
Stephen L. Schaech.
