Raymond Bradshaw, 83, a general practitioner in Montgomery County for 40 years, died of kidney failure May 12, 2005 at his home in Silver
Spring.

Dr. Bradshaw, who practiced in the Four Corners section of Silver Spring, had a family practice with thousands of patients and made
house calls during the first half of his career. He retired in 1990.

He was born in Washington and graduated from
McKinley Technical High School. During World War II, he served as a gunnery officer on a
Navy ship in the Pacific. He graduated from the University of Maryland and completed medical school there in 1950.

Dr. Bradshaw enjoyed skiing and, for 45 years, had a weekend house on the Chesapeake Bay. He built a small sailboat in his basement
and sailed it on the bay with his daughter.

He collected rocks, which he cut and polished to make jewelry. He also built remote-control airplanes, which he flew with his grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nancy Bradshaw of Silver Spring; a daughter, Jan Mason of Clarksburg; and three grandchildren.
