John Joseph Cain, 76, who owned a television repair shop and worked for C&P Telephone, died of leukemia Jan. 19 at his
niece's home in Dayton.

Mr. Cain, a native Washingtonian, grew up in the Brookland neighborhood and graduated from  
McKinley Technology High
School.
He served in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif., during the Korean War.

After his discharge, he returned to Washington and opened a television  repair shop in Rockville for about five years. He then
worked at C&P Telephone on Capitol Hill until his retirement in the early 1990s. He lived  in Washington.

Survivors include two brothers, Joseph Cain of Selbyville, Del., and Paul Cain of Colesville; and a sister, Laura Green of
Calverton.
