Faye L. Regan, 93: Paralegal

      Faye L. Regan, 93, a retired paralegal for Washington area law practices, died
Nov. 10 at her home in Washington. She had congestive heart failure and
respiratory failure.

      The death was confirmed by her daughter Susan Wingate.

      Faye Lorene Heffley was born in Johnstown, Pa., and raised partly in
Washington. She graduated from
McKinley Technical High School and Strayer
Business College. Early on, she was a secretary and proof reader for her brother’s
printing business in Washington.

      Her husband, James S. Regan, whom she married in 1941, died in 1975.
After being widowed, she graduated with a paralegal degree from the University of
Maryland and worked for about a decade in the law practices of Ernest
Raskauskas and Edward Kennelly.

      She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Washington for 80 years
and active in church groups. She traveled widely and was re-Baptized in the
Jordan River. Her hobbies included making Christmas decorations.

      Survivors include three children, K. Michelle Donovan of Ocean City, Md.,
Susan S. Wingate of Bethany Beach, Del., and James S. Regan of Crofton; two
sisters; a brother; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
