 Elizabeth Ann Nolan died suddenly on November 30, 2010.
Betty, as she was known to all that were close to her, was born
March 13, 1925 in Washington, DC to Herman and Victoria
Schellen.

  She attended
McKinley Tech and was married to Jerry
Nolan just after World War II. Betty moved to Maryland in the
early 50's and to Arizona in the last 50's. While in Arizona, Jerry and Betty
became interested in the history of the American Indian and the American West.

 In the early 60's, they moved back to Silver Spring, MD. It was during this time
that she and her husband founded Apache Appliance, which began as a small
business out of their home. Betty and Jerry shared a lifetime of adventures while
skiing and traveling America. There was no mountain that was too difficult for her
to ski and no obstacle should wouldn't try to tackle.

 She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother,
grandmother and sister. She will be especially remembered for her exquisite home
and striking beauty. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Herman. She
leaves behind her husband of 65 years; her three sons, Francis, Russell and Gary;
four grandchildren and her sister, Nancy.
