Calvert Forest Magruder

Calvert "MAC," Forest Magruder, 88, of Shadyside, died Tuesday, Nov. 30 at
Anne Arundel Medical Center.

He was born February 1, 1922 in Maryland. He graduate at
Tech High School
in Washington, DC. He was employed as a driver with the A.A. Co. Department
of Aging Former Relief Engineman for Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
He retired from the DC Fire Department in 1973. Military Marine veteran WWII,
joined the Army Reserves and ultimately retired from the Army Reserves. During
WWII he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a former Fire Chief at Avalon
Shores #41 Station A.A.CO., MD He is preceded in death by his brother, Charles
Magruder.

He is survived by his wife, Mary B. Magruder of Shadyside; three sons, Gene
Magruder of Texas, Richard Magruder of LA, John Magruder of Shadyside; one
daughter, Kimberly Magruderof of Va.; one sister, Rose "SIS" Marselas of
Friendship; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and great friends Johnny
Doyle and Frank Seibert.

Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 11 at Hardesty
Funeral Home P.A., 905 Galesville Road Galesville. Interment Private
