ALICE E. PEARSON  

    On February 9, 2011. Devoted wife of the late Donald
Pearson. Loving mother of Priscilla Long and Patricia (Dick)
Renno. She is also survived by six grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren; and brothers, Dean and Glenn (Bernice)
Bellinger. Born in Monroe County, NY to Christopher and
Nettie Bellinger, she moved to Washington as a young child.
A graduate of
McKinley Tech High School and Lewis Hotel Training School,
she worked in the financial sector and for Fairfax County Schools. She was
involved in the PTA in supporting the establishment of Intermediate Schools in the
County. She served on the Fairfax Electoral Board for many years.

    An avid gardener, she also enjoyed flower arranging, quilting, the piano, and
participating in her civic association, garden club, and the American Azalea
Society. She was a charter member of First Church of Christ, Scientist,
Springfield, VA, where she was active for over forty years.
