Brother Timothy Francis Dean, F.S.C., 80, of Lincroft, died Friday, June 24,
2011 at De La Salle Hall, Lincroft. Brother Timothy was born in Washington, DC,
and received his Holy Habit of the Christian Schools on February 1, 1951. He
attended La Salle College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1955 and
a Masters degree in Theology in 1956; Georgetown University where he received a
Masters degree in French in 1959; and Villanova University where he received a
Masters degree in Education in 1964.
His teaching assignments included West Catholic Boys, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania; St. John's College High School, Washington, DC; Hudson
Catholic High School, Jersey City; Calvert Hall, Baltimore, Maryland; Neumann
Prep, Wayne; Christian Brothers Academy Syracuse, Skaneateles, New York;
Carroll High School, Radnor, Pennsylvania; Bishop Walsh School, Cumberland,
Maryland; and st. Gabriel Hall, Audubon, Pennsylvania.
His administrative assignments included commandant of cadets, assistant
principal, sub-director and director of community at St. John's, Washington, DC;
served as principal at Hudson Catholic High School, Jersey City, Neumann Prep,
Wayne, NJ; principal and director of community at Calvert Hall College High
School, assistant superintendent of schools for the Newark Arch Diocese; assistant
principal and community director at Bishop Walsh High School, Cumberland,
Maryland; director of community at Hudson Catholic High School, and Carroll
High School, Radnor, Pennsylvania; sub-director of novices at Skaneateles, New
York; and director of Ocean Rest.
Surviving are two sisters, Patricia Cadwallader, of Springfield, Virginia, and
Marian Lee, of Arlington, Virginia.
The viewing will be held at De La Salle Hall on Monday from 10:00 A.M. to
Noon.
Interment will be held on Wednesday at Christian Brothers Cemetery,
Ammendale, Maryland.
