Stephen Liberatore, 51; Bank Executive, Financial Adviser

Stephen Alexander Liberatore, 51, a financial adviser who retired in February as vice president of investments at UBS, the large
banking concern, died June 1 at his vacation property in Crisfield, Md. He was electrocuted while pruning a tree near a power
source.
Mr. Liberatore was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and raised in Washington, where he was a 1972 graduate of St. John's College
High School. He was a 1979 business administration graduate of Kansas State University.
Early in his career, he did financial planning work for Laidlaw, Martin and Moysey as well as Smith Barney.
Mr. Liberatore spent most of his career at Paine Webber, which was purchased by UBS. Mr. Liberatore worked at UBS.
He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Silver Spring and a former president of the Friendship Lions Club. His
main residence was in Silver Spring.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Boyle Liberatore, whom he married in 1981, of Silver Spring; three children, Stephanie, Mary
Michelle and Dominic, all of Silver Spring; his mother, Frances V. Liberatore of Darnestown; and five brothers, James Liberatore
of Phoenix, Thomas Liberatore of Scott Depot, W.Va., Robert Liberatore of Barboursville, Va., William Liberatore of Montgomery
Village and Michael Liberatore of Plantation, Fla.
