CALABASH, N.C. | John Francis Krug, 59, died Wednesday,
September 30, 2009 at his residence in Calabash, N.C.
He was born November 1, 1949 in Washington, D.C., a son of Mary B. Hoffmann
Krug of LaPlata, Md. and the late Harold Everett Krug. He retired from the U.S.
Capitol Police in 1998. Mr. Krug was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police,
the Grand Strand Seniors, Crow Creek Men's League, and the U.S. Capitol Retired
Officers Association. He and his family lived in Owings, Md. from 1989 until 2004.
Surviving are his wife, Marsha Krug of Calabash, N.C.; son, Nathan Krug of
Crofton, Md.; daughter, Darcey Krug of Arlington, Va.; his Yorkies, ''Docker'' and
''Corkey''; brothers, Dave (Joanne) Krug of Great Mills, Md., Mickey (Gracila)
Krug of Burke, Va., and Bill (Marge) Krug of Waldorf, Md.; and sisters, Maria
(Tony) Corio of Montogmery Village, Md., Judi (Mike) DeFino of Laurel, Md., Bev
(Sam) Carter of Woodbridge, Va., and Carol (Tony) Ricciardi of LaPlata, Md.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the
Homeowners Amenities Center at Crow Creek Golf Course, Calabash, N.C.
