JOHN DILLON SALB, JR."Jack" Age 67
On Friday, January 7th 2011, John D. Salb, died after a long and courageous
battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends at home in
Cheverly, MD. Beloved son of the late John D. and Marion Salb; devoted
husband of Susan Salb; loving father of Mary Colette Salb, Matthew Dillon Salb (
Michelle), John Kurtz Salb (Holly), William Davis Salb (Heather), Thomas G.
Salb (Ann) and Anne E.Landau ( Richard). Also survived by his wonderful
grandchildren: Ryan, Eric, Celina, Aidan, Joseph, Trevor Salb, Kyde Savage and
expected in June Baby Landau. He will also be missed by brother-in-law, James
Kurtz and his wife, Laurie Green, and their children, Elizabeth, Laura and
Michael, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
He was a 1961 Graduate of St. Johns College High School in Washington,
DC.
He spent 39 productive years working for the Central Intelligence Agency and
was very proud of being a third generation CIA family. He was also a long time
member of Elks Lodge number 1778 in Riverdale, MD.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday January 11 from 3 until 7 p.m. at St.
Ambrose Catholic Church, 3107 63rd Ave., Cheverly, MD 20785. Funeral will be
held on Wednesday, January 12th at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to send donations in his name to St.
Ambrose Catholic Church or Capital Hospice, 9200 Basil Court. Suite 211, Largo,
