

James "Jim" J. Brogan, 59, died May 31 in his
home in Frederick, MD surrounded by his devoted family.
Born in Washington, DC to James S. and Margaret B.
Brogan, Jim grew up in Wheaton and Gaithersburg. He
graduated from St. Johns College High School and went
on to receive a BS in Civil Engineering from Carnegie
Mellon University in 1974.
Jim had a distinguished career in commercial
construction, working for companies in Washington,
New York City, and most recently for Satterfield &
Pontikes in New Orleans.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Liz; son Patrick, daughters Meg
and Katie, daughter-in-law Amanda; mother Peggy; brother Tim and sister Jane.
Devoted husband, father and friend, Jim never let a fun time pass him by,
particularly relaxing with family and friends on the beach at Fenwick Island, DE.
Visitation will be held Fri., June 3 from 4-7:30 P.M. at Keeney & Basford
Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Celebration of Resurrection Mass
will be held Sat., June 4 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 118 E.
2nd St., Frederick.
The interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Frederick.
