HAROLD PAUL KELLY, JR. (Age 90)
"Ace" passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2011.
He was raised in DC, attended McKinley Tech, and graduated from St.
John's College High in 1940 before serving in the USCG and Combat Merchant
Marine throughout WWII.
He was an accomplished lifelong golfer since finishing 2nd in the DC
Schoolboy Championship, and he was a life member of BPOE, who retired to SW
Florida in 1979 until returning to Maryland in 2004.
Married for over 67 years to his beloved Evelyn, who predeceased him by ten
months, he is survived by his son Dennis Kelly and wife Suzanna, and his
daughter Carolyn McGowan, all of Gaithersburg, along with four grandchildren
and two great-granddaughters.
By his request, no funeral services were held.
