DAVID COLIN O'KEEFE (Age 48)
Passed away December 7, 2011 in Crofton, MD,
after a brief illness. Beloved son of Thomas and Doris
O'Keefe of Berlin, MD; loving brother of Maureen
O'Keefe (Kevin) of Arlington, VA, and Audrey O'Keefe
of Bowie, MD.
He is also survived by his caretaker and best friend,
Robert J. Paolucci of Fishing Creek, MD. David was a 1981 graduate of St.
John's College High School in Washington, DC where he was awarded a
musical scholarship. He was an outstanding pianist and accompanist to the St.
John's Chorus and performed during many programs, shows, and concerts at the
school.
David spent a distinguished career with AMTRAK where he had been
employed for the past twenty-two years. He was Director of Field Payroll
Operations. He was loved by all as a manager, colleague, co-worker, and friend.
He is known virtually in every payroll office nationwide within AMTRAK.
Friends may call at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis
Road, Bowie, MD, on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December
13, 2011 at 10 a.m.
Interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia
Ave., Silver Spring, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David's
memory to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD
21401.
