ANTHONY J. BORDA (Age 61)
On October 22, 2010 surrounded by his family at Fauquier Hospital. He was born
on December 19, 1948 in New York City to the late Joseph Lewis Borda and
Helen Grace McNamara Borda.
Anthony graduated from St. John's High School, Washington D.C. and was a
graduate of Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, N.C.
He retired from the EPA after 30 years of government service.
Anthony was a loving and devoted family man; he enjoyed sports, making
furniture and teaching his grandchildren to fish.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Daphne H. Borda; five children, Julie
Chesser and husband Jason, David McGraw and wife Anne, Thomas McGraw
and wife Cynthia, Rose Harvey and Susan McGrath; four siblings, Ann Marin,
Helen Feick, Joseph Borda and Charles Borda. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at
Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Shrine of the
Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3630 Quesada St. NW, Washington,
DC 20015. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., follow the service, in the Gate of Heaven
Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
