Minnie Beatrice Gorham, daughter of the late Charlie Foreman and Clara Giles,
was born on December 22, 1928 in Pitt County, NC. She attended public school
in Farmville, NC. She also attended Roosevelt High School and Liberty Bible
College.
She moved to Washington, DC in her late teens.
She joined her daughter, Shannon in Morningside, MD in 1977.
Mrs. Gorham departed life at the Washington Rehab and Healthcare Center,
Fort Washington, MD.
Mrs. Gorham was the wife of the late Reverend Major L. Gorham and mother
of Lester Gorham, Jr., Jarvis Gorham, Shannon Coleman, Anthony Gorham and
the late Hazel Gorham. She leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the True Deliverance
Church of God 1804 Quarter Avenue, Capital Heights, MD 20743. Bishop Alvin
D. Venson, Senior Pastor and Minister John Hawkins, Officiating.
Wake at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial
Cemetery.
