Mildred Bright

Mildred Bright, 87, a homemaker and later an employee of Walker and Dunlop, a Bethesda-based commercial real estate firm, died Feb. 23 of lung disease at Maplewood Park Place. She had been a Chevy Chase resident for more than 40 years before moving to Maplewood, a senior living residence in Bethesda.
Mrs. Bright was born in Washington and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1934. She was a homemaker for many years before joining Walker and Dunlop in the 1950s as an accountant. She retired in 1982.
She was a member of the Hamlet Garden Club and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild, the Garden Guild, the Chair Flower Guild and the Needlepoint Guild.
Her marriage to James W. Bonbrest ended in divorce. Her second husband, Andrew Bright, died in 1990. A son, J. William Bonbrest, also died in 1990.
Survivors include a son from her first marriage, Franklyn Bonbrest of Alexandria; a sister, Patricia A. Corvelli of Bethesda; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
