| Mathew Brodsky Mathew Brodsky, 87, a retired accountant for the Internal Revenue Service who then spent 22 years working part time for the accounting firm of Robert Philipson Co., died March 25 of cerebral thrombosis at the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington. He was a Rockville resident. |

| Mr. Brodsky was born in New York and raised in Washington, where he graduated from Roosevelt Senior High School. During World War II, he was drafted into the Army and served as a radio man in North Africa and Europe. | ||||||
| After the war, he returned to the Washington area and joined the IRS, where he worked as an agent and group supervisor in the Washington office. He retired in 1976 after 31 years with the agency. | ||||||
| He retired from Robert Philipson at age 81. | ||||||
| His volunteer activities included his neighborhood homeowners association, B'nai B'rith International and Holy Cross Hospital. | ||||||
| Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth C. Brodsky of Rockville; two sons, Melvin Brodsky of Potomac and Jack Brodsky of Weston, Fla.; a brother; and four grandchildren. | ||||||
