Leslie Ontrich Andersen, 77, a mortgage services representative for two Washington area savings and loan institutions, died
Aug. 30 of vascular disease at Suburban Hospital.
Mrs. Andersen spent more than a decade each at Equitable Savings and Loan Association and Citizens Savings and Loan
before stopping work in the early 1980s.
She was a native Washingtonian, a 1947 graduate of   Roosevelt High School and a 1951 graduate of Duke University.
She taught Sunday school at Glenmont United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, her city of residence. Her memberships
included United Methodist Women and the PEO Sisterhood.
She volunteered in the Clinton White House mailroom helping process correspondence sent in by children.
Her husband of 39 years, Stephen F. Andersen, died in 1990.
Survivors include four children, Adrienne B. Andersen of Santa Monica, Calif., Neil S. Andersen of Gaithersburg, retired Army Sgt.
1st Class Erik F. Andersen of Bunnlevel, N.C., and Kirk L. Andersen of Silver Spring; two sisters, Donna Self of Fredericksburg
and Lacy Bentley of Green Valley, Ariz.; and two grandsons.
