Jacqueline Rose Davis, 67, a Washington native who owned an art gallery in Portland, Ore., and who gave seminars on
personal growth, died of cancer Aug. 7 at home in Portland.
Ms. Davis graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. She received a bachelor's degree from the now-closed Upsala
College in New Jersey and a master's degree in social work from Catholic University in 1964. She married Harold Pollin in 1965
and worked as a social worker in Washington before moving to Portland in 1968.
In Portland, she raised her children and co-owned the Northwoods Gallery. Her business evolved to include an art consultancy
whose clients included Oregon's largest banks and corporations. She also served as a docent at the Portland Art Museum. After
16 years of marriage, she and her husband divorced.
She married Dr. Theodore Lehman in 1984, and they established Values Realization, LLC in Portland. They conducted
seminars on subjects such as forgiveness and remarriage, and their seminars were often featured on cruise ships.
Ms. Davis loved to entertain and was known for exuberant, eccentric and very personal gatherings, said Dave Pollin of
Washington, a son from her first marriage. It was always a surprise in what you where in store for, he said.
She loved exploring Thailand, Vietnam and India, and she had a lifelong passion for chocolate.
In addition to her husband, of Portland, and son, survivors include three children from her first marriage, Sharon Pollin, Andrew
Pollin and Rachel Pollin, all of Portland; a sister; four stepchildren, Paula Lyng of Seattle, Steve Lehman of Olympia, Wash.,
Michael Lehman of Portland and Suzanne Lehman of Merced, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.
