| Frances Schlegel Murray, 91, a homemaker and church member, died after a heart attack Dec. 29 at her home in Bethesda. |
|
| Mrs. Murray was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Bethesda for the past 57 years and was a founding member of its sodality. She volunteered at Suburban Hospital and for the Red Cross. |
|
| A native Washingtonian, she graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Dunbarton College. During the 1930s and 1940s, she worked at the U.S. departments of Agriculture and Treasury. |
|
|
| She enjoyed gardening, baking and traveling, including taking trips to Germany, where relatives lived. |
|
|
| Her husband of 48 years, Charles A. Murray, died in 1990. |
|
|
| Survivors include a son, the Rev. Michael Murray of Bethesda, and a sister, Lillian Hisey of Bethesda. |
