Dorothy Marifrances Boettcher

    DOROTHY MARIFRANCES, 91, a resident of Sunrise Independent Living,
Severna Park for five years, died on January 8, 2011 at Baltimore Washington
Medical Center in Glen Burnie, after a brief illness.

    She was born on September 5, 1919 in Washington, D.C., where she was
raised, and graduated from
Roosevelt High School in 1936 and lived in
Arlington, VA for 55 years. She attended the University of Maryland, College
Park and Strayer Business School. She was married to Robert R. Boettcher
(USNA, C'40). This marriage ended in 1955. Dorothy was an executive
secretary in The Office of the United States Air Force Chief of Chaplains for 25
years, retiring in 1985.

    She is survived by her daughter Kristin (Daniel) Chesley of Arnold and their
children, Kimberly (Gary) Brown of Austin, TX, Daniel Jr. (Beth) Chesley of
Arnold, Robyn E. Chesley of Baltimore, Karen (Matthew) Tengwall of
Grasonville, and William Chesley of Arnold; and her son, Richard (Joann)
Boettcher of Roanoke, VA and their children, Richard (Krista) Boettcher of
Salem, VA, Michael Boettcher of Salem, VA, Jennifer (Brian) Wellman of
Pritchard, WV, Jodi (Steve) Queen of Wayne, WV; and fourteen great
grandchildren.

    Family and friends may visit on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 9:30 AM
-11:00 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home. A Funeral
Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will
follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers,
