BECKER JOSEPH AGULA BECKER (Age 85) Of Lewes, DE
passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Harbor
Healthcare & Rehab Center, in Lewes, DE.

He was born Saturday, October 12, 1929 in Washington, DC,
son of the late Elich and Anna (Agula) Becker. Joe was a
graduate of
Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC
(1948),
and furthered his education attending the George
Washington University in Washington, DC. He graduated in 1952 earning his Bachelor's
degree in Accounting.

Shortly after graduation Joe proudly served his country with the United States Coast Guard
for two years during the Korean Conflict. Joe would then embark on a lifelong career in
Accounting. His first venture was starting a CPA firm with his cousin, Becker, Weinstein &
Kaufman in Washington, DC. Joe specialized in Accounting specific to the Graphic Arts
industry, where his contributions were many and will never be forgotten. The entrepreneur in
him, would lead to hosting an internet podcast where he moderated on Graphic Arts
industry topics. His podcasts were known by all as "Cup-o'Joe," which he continued to
moderate until the last days of his life. Joe's efforts did not go unnoticed. He was inducted
into the Soderstrom Society, an honors recognition organization for individuals who have
made significant contributions to the graphic arts industry.

Joe was a very active man who loved the outdoors and was an avid Washington Redskins
fan. He was a man who was loved by all, an instant friend, never let anyone feel like a
stranger. His spirited humor will be missed by many! Joe will forever be remembered as a
loving husband, father and friend to all.

Joe is survived by his wife, Christine A. Becker of Lewes, DE; four daughters, Marlene
Freedman and her husband, Henry of Burke, VA, Myra Collard and her husband, Norm of
Westford, MA, Cecile Pryzant of Dallas, TX and Suzanne Becker of Lewes, DE; six
grandchildren, Lexi, Bobby, Jeff, Miranda, Kira and Isaac. He also leaves his Boglen
Terrier, Alfie.

Joe will now be reunited with his beloved canine companion, Gemini.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Parsell
Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE,
where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Brain
Injury Association of Delaware, 840 Walker Road, Suite A, Dover, DE 19904.
