WILLIAM J. PORTER (Age 67) Of Ashland, VA, died Tuesday, June 15,
2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas H. and Mary M. Porter of
Hyattsville, MD; and a granddaughter, Virginia L. Porter, of Ohio. He is
survived by his wife, Marguerite V. Porter; a daughter, Mary Porter Studebaker
(Dana); a son, William V. Porter; a granddaughter, Samantha L. Studebaker;
four brothers, Robert T., Brian J., Kenneth B. and David G. Porter; four
sisters, Mary L. Novak, Monica J. Walsh, Andrea C. Porter and Eleanor F.
Porter.

Mr. Porter attended St. James Catholic School in Mt. Rainer, Holy Comforter
Catholic School, Washington, DC and the former St. Charles Seminary and
graduated from
Gonzaga High School and the Catholic University of America,
in Washington, DC.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, including two tours in Vietnam, where he
earned the Bronze Star twice. He retired as a captain.

An avid Outdoorsman and Boy Scout leader, he retired from TRW as a
contract administrator. Funeral services are today at St. Ann''s Catholic Church,
in Ashland.
