Teresa J. Fahle, 58, a guidance counselor at Bishop McNamara High School
in Forestville, died July 4 of a pulmonary embolism at her family's home in
Bellefontaine, Ohio. She also had Parkinson's disease.
Ms. Fahle had worked at Bishop McNamara for the past 13 years. Before
she was a guidance counselor, she taught chemistry at Corpus Christi School
in Falls Church, at Gonzaga College High School in Washington and at St.
Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel. She was a longtime Beltsville resident.
Teresa Joan Fahle was born in Bellefontaine.
She received a bachelor's degree in biology from Miami University in Oxford,
Ohio, in 1974. After college, she spent a year teaching middle school science
in Bunbury, Australia. In 1997, while teaching at St. Vincent Pallotti, she
received a master's degree in social work from Bowie State University.
Survivors include her mother, Rosella Fahle of Bellefontaine; and a brother.
