Raymond T. Donohoe, 88, who was a realty specialist for the General Services Administration from 1966 until his retirement in 1986, died Oct. 15 at his
home in Arlington County. He had Alzheimer's disease.
A native Washingtonian, Raymond Thorn Donohoe was a 1939 graduate of Gonzaga College High School. After high school, he was a salesman for
Barber & Ross Co., a Leesburg-based company that manufactures home windows, doors and trim. From 1956 to 1966, he was a real estate property
manager for Donohoe and Drury Real Estate in the District.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arlington, where he served as an usher. He was a past treasurer of the
Gonzaga High School alumni association.
He was also a volunteer at Capital Hospice of Arlington and the Legion of Mary, a Catholic prayer group in Arlington.
A daughter, Katharine M. Donohoe, died in 2000.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Murphy Donohoe of Arlington; six children, Thomas F. Donohoe, Leo M. Donohoe and Joseph F. Donohoe,
all of Arlington, Marie A. Kemins of Southlake, Tex., Richard J. Donohoe of McLean and Ellen D. Whalen of Chantilly; and 16 grandchildren.
