Nicholas J. Fisher, 90, who worked for Ottenberg's Bakery in Washington
for 30 years, died Dec. 28 of heart disease at a hospital in Columbia, Mo. Mr.
Fisher began at Ottenberg's as a truck driver delivering bread and became a
sales supervisor before he retired in the early 1980s.
In retirement, he moved from Hyattsville to Martinsburg, W.Va., where he
lived until moving to Missouri in 2007.
Nicholas John Fisher was born in Waco, Tex., and moved to Washington
when he was 10.
He graduated from Gonzaga College High School in the District and drove
streetcars in the city as a young man.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anna Wall Fisher of Columbia, Mo.;
two children, John Allan Fisher of Columbia, Mo., and Denise Brady of
Ellicott City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
