ERIC W BAUGHER Eric W. Baugher on August 17, 2010 of Odenton, MD,
he was born on May 17, 1959 in San Jose CA. Eric Graduated from
Gonzaga High School in Wash DC in 1977 and had some college.
Eric suffered and endured with Crohn''s disease since an early teen but always
conquered each event and managed to get ahead of the game.
He had a lifelong passion for model planes and began building and flying in his
early teen years. Eric owned and operated GPA Hobbies in Crofton, MD for
over 20 years. His business is noted as one of the premier hobby shops in the
area. In the model club societies Eric was noted "as the standard of excellence
in building and flying". In his early flying days, he enjoyed the pattern circuit
and was well known for his fancy maneuvers in the air. Some of his model
planes were featured in Time Magazine, Flying Models, and the Washington
Post. His passion was building and flying model jets. He enjoyed going to and
participating in the local jet rallies. Eric had affiliations with local flying clubs
such as PGRC, CBRC, and DCRC as well as an Honoree SWAP club
member.
Eric was also a model train enthusiast and enjoyed building and signing train
layouts when time permitted. He loved fancy cars and motorcycles as well.
He was a devoted Redskin and Penn State Football fan (where his daughter
graduated from). Eric will be missed by his friends, family, and customer
community.
Eric is survived by his wife Susan (married for 26 years), daughter Elizabeth,
and brother Kevin Baugher NC as well as Aunts, Uncles, and cousins .
Predeceased by his parents Barbara R. Crawford and Harold Baugher Friends
may call on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Hardesty Funeral Home
P.A. 851 Annapolis Road Gambrills, MD
A Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday August 23,2010 in the Our
Lady of the Fields Catholic Church 1069 Cecil Ave. S. Millersville, MD
21108.
