Paul Manilli

MANILLI, PAUL, passed away peacefully at his home in
Annapolis on Saturday, April 26.

Born in Washington, D.C. on March 14, 1921 to the late
Michele and Palma Leli Manilli, Paul was the ninth of
twelve children.

After graduating from
Eastern High School (1940) in the
District, he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard
during WWII. He served in the Pacific. After being
honorably discharged, he worked for the U.S. Postal
Service in Washington D.C. until his retirement in 1979.

Paul was married to Winifred Patricia O'Dea on April 30,
1943. They lived in Hillcrest Heights, MD where they
raised their three children. For the last 22 years he has
lived in Annapolis, MD.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years,
Winifred; his twin infant sons, Paul and Thomas Manilli and his brothers and sisters,
Sandarella, Assunta, Angelina, Julio, John, Rose, Mary, Michael, Alfonso, Yolandy, and
Albert.

He is survived by three children, Maryellen (Jack) McInnis, Ann (George) Klein and
Michael (Judith) Manilli; seven grandchildren, Paul, Colleen, Marianne, Nicole, Gina,
Laura and Julia; four great-grandchildren, Russell, Matthew, Taylor and Kristen, and
numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was so fortunate to find love again with his long time loving partner, Ida Little and
her family, with whom he shared a love of travel, dining which included of course crab
feasts, sporting events, cards, dominos and trips to Dover and Vegas.

Friends are invited to Paul's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Thursday,
May 1 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater,
MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30am on Friday, May 2 at St. John
Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD followed by interment
at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
