Mary Edith Robinson Murphy

Mary R. "Aunt Mary" Murphy, 90, a five-year resident of the Annapolis area and
previously of Annandale, died peacefully February 23 at the Anne Arundel Medical
Center.

Born at her parent's home on January 21, 1924 in Washington, DC, Aunt Mary
graduated from
Eastern High School in 1943.

She married her first husband, Warner Settle, in 1947 and together they opened a
Gulf gas station in Annandale in the 1950s. Warner managed the station operations
while Aunt Mary managed the books. They operated the station until Warner's death in
1967.

Aunt Mary later married Jack Murphy who also preceded her in death. She provided
her mother a home for the last 30 years of her mother's life. Aunt Mary enjoyed
spending time with family and friends and sharing her positive attitude and a cocktail
with them.

In addition to her husbands, Aunt Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Bill
Robinson.

She is survived by her nephews, Jim and Bill Robinson and their families.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Thursday, February 27, at Holy
Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville.

Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
