Marjory Gainey Rudy
Marjory Gainey Rudy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 13, 2013. She
leaves her husband of 68 years, the Reverend Jack F. Rudy.
She was born on September 20, 1925, to Keron Felton Gainey and Burtus Allen Gainey
in Tarboro, North Carolina. She also leaves her son, Don Rudy of Waldorf, Maryland,
and was predeceased by another son, Robert Rudy, who passed on May 30, 2013.
She leaves two daughters, Susan Rudy Brink of Culpeper, Virginia, and Jane Rudy
Mayes of Amissville, Virginia. She leaves eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and
She graduated from Eastern High School (1944), in Washington, D.C. She was an
organist, choir leader, and Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. She was truly a
pastor's wonderful work-meet. She worked for many years as a civil servant for the FBI
and Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Moser's Funeral Home and services
and burial will be conducted at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton, Virginia, 11
a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013.
