September 13, 2010 at Shady Grove Hospital. She was born July 6, 1915 in
Washington, DC to the late Paul and Theresa (Gross) Wagner.
She had one brother Henry who died in 1975. Survived by daughter, Marie Saunders,
son Everett Golihew and grandchildren, Therese Kriner, Paul Saunders, and Laura
White; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was a lifetime member of St. Matthew''s Lutheran Church. She was by far the
biggest Redskin fan ever, telling her Pastor to cut the sermon short so she wouldn''t
miss kick-off! Marie enjoyed playing cards and bingo, swimming, duck pin bowling,
coin and stamp collecting, camping and having her "Red, White and Blue."
She was a member of the Joyful Seniors from Bradburn Memorial Bible Church and
the Young-at-Heart Seniors from Forest Memorial UMC.
Marie graduated from Eastern High School, Washington, DC in 1933.
Memorial service will be held at National Lutheran Home in Rockville, MD on
September 18 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Matthew''s
Lutheran Church, 309 E Street, NW Washington, DC 20001 in her name.
