James Lee "Jim" Moore, 90, of Annapolis and formerly of Oxon Hill, died Sunday,
January 18 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
He was born on May 22, 1924 in Mt. Ida, VA to the late Howard and Grace Moore.
After graduating from Eastern High School (1943) in Washington, DC he joined the
US Coast Guard.
Following discharge, he worked at various positions at the Navy Yard ending his
career as the Chief Budget Analyst for the Naval Weapons Engineering Support
Activity.
Jim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis and was an avid
bowler, bridge player and golfer.
Jim is survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen M. Moore; six children, James M.
(Peggy) Moore, William H. (Chris) Moore, Eileen M. Moore, Teresa M. (William)
d'Angelo, Thomas E. (Mary Ann) Moore and Richard L. Moore and his wife Kelly
Przylepa; he is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, January 26 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to
8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at 10:30am at St.
John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
Interment will follow in MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
