Crystal Marie Lynn Crystal was born on October 17, 1931
in Washington, D.C.

As the first child to Marie Wagner Utz Carper and Wilbur
Smith Carper. Crystal was a model student, serving as
valedictorian of
Eastern High School’s graduating class of 1950. She went on to
graduate with her Associate Degree from the George Washington University.

On March 6, 1971, Crystal wed Thomas H. Lynn, Jr. She and Tommy enjoyed their
years together living in Riverdale, Maryland and later in Annapolis with vacations to
Fort Lauderdale.

Crystal spent her recent years living in Baltimore, Maryland and regularly attended the
Age Plus Senior Program at the Harford Belair Community Mental Health Clinic where
she enjoyed the various social activities. Crystal was very artistic and had a sharp
memory. She was a family historian who could easily recall family birth dates, death
dates and wedding anniversaries. Crystal loved baking cakes and shopping at the
local stores where she would often buy treats to share with the other residents at her
assisted living home.

Crystal is predeceased by her parents, brother Phillip Carper, and husband Thomas
Lynn.

She is survived by her brother William “Billy” Carper of Berlin, Maryland, Nephew
Christopher Carper (Kim, Dawson and Toby) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and
niece Laura Magoon (John and Emily) of Ellicott City, Maryland.
