BETTY TRIESLER CHANDLER (Age 88)
Of Ripley, WV passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at her home following a long illness.
She was born June 14, 1924, in Hagerstown, MD, a daughter of the late A.W. "Duke" and Pauline Sites Triesler.
She was a graduate of Eastern High School (1942) in Washington, D.C. where she was a member of the Phi Pi Epsilon Sorority.
Betty was a retired executive assistant with her husband's successful State Farm Insurance business, a charter member and longtime treasurer of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Kensington, MD, a member of Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, and lived most of her life in Maryland.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Robert P. Chandler, Sr., who passed away in 2008, a son Christopher Chandler, sisters Bonnie Finn and June Monica and a brother George Triesler.
She is survived by a son Robert P. "Bob" Chandler, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Statts Mills, WV; granddaughter Carey Harlan and her daughter Briauna and grandsons Timothy Chandler and Jesse Chandler.
In honoring her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no service. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, WV is serving the family.
