Virginia I. Motley, 86, a former Kensington homemaker, died of Parkinson's disease at Sligo Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Takoma Park.
Mrs. Motley was born in the District and graduated from Eastern High School in the late 1930s. Except for two years in Florida, she had lived in the District and Kensington and was a homemaker, wife and mother.
Her husband, Harry A. Motley, died in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Hess of Philadelphia and Lynne Motley of the District; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
