Bob was born in Washington, D.C and was a graduate of Eastern High. He was the owner of Bob's Frozen
Custard in Southwest Washington, D.C for 26 years. He was also the past President of the National Ice Cream
Retail Association (NICRA). Bob was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Shady Side. He was
also part of the Worth patron of Federal Chapter 38, the Order of the Eastern Star and Worthy Grand Patron,
Order of the Eastern Star.
He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Vansise DeMoreland.
Survivors include his son Donald DeMoreland of Davidsonville; daughter Grace Haskins of Queenstown and
five grandchildren Denise Norfolk, Dawn Smith, Stephen DeMoreland, Dana Haskins and Douglas DeMoreland.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm, Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Hardesty Funeral Home, P.A.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 6248 Shady Side Road, Shady Side MD 20764.
Internment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
